The old ISO/TS 22002-x series is OUT. The new ISO 22002-x:2025 series is IN — this is the BIGGEST operational change in V7. All your PRP documentation needs to be reviewed and updated.

✅ GFSI Benchmarking 2024 Alignment
Stronger requirements on Food Safety Culture, Food Fraud, Food Defence and Management Commitment.

✅ Sustainability Requirements
Organisations must now review sustainability goals and consider climate-related risks in their food safety management system.

✅ Enhanced Food Safety Culture
More defined expectations — it’s not enough to just have a policy. You must demonstrate it is LIVED in your organisation.

✅ Stronger Supplier Management
Updated and tightened protocols for managing your supply chain.

✅ Improved Traceability Controls
Enhanced requirements across the food chain.

✅ New Sub-category Structure

📅 TRANSITION TIMELINE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🟢 1 May 2026 — Version 7 published. Transition begins NOW.
🟡 1 May 2027 — ALL audits move to Version 7. Version 6 audits STOP.
🔴 30 Apr 2028 — Deadline for upgrade audits to be completed.

⚠️ Important: Your upgrade audit may be UNANNOUNCED. Certification bodies may not allow you to choose the timing!
